We Devizes residents are very lucky to have a fine bookshop that features literary events on a regular basis.   On November 16th at evening of readings on the subject of Trains was selected and introduced by Simon.

The evening went at a cracking pace, ranging from Emily Dickinson to Lawrence Durrell, Edward Thomas to Bill Bryson.

DWG members were there in force, with both Roz and Liz doing readings, and Liz not only reading one of her own stories but also an original poem by Brenda, who was in attendance, as was Mike and Rosaleen.

Liz’s rendering of the Tay Bridge Disaster was particularly fine, delivered in a fine Scottish brogue
